About the Item

Very rare tureen in glazed ceramic in relief by Richard Ginori Laveno designed in the 1960s by Antonia Campi, archived and cataloged on the site of the cultural heritage of Lombardy with the following description: Description: Tureen entirely glazed in dark green with high external band decorated in relief, rectangular handles and circular lid with flower-shaped top handle. Historical-critical information: The tureen (container no. Inv. 2250, lid no. 2251) is part of a table service that can be approached due to the morphological typology and the minute relief decorations arranged on a high horizontal band or on the brim of the plates. service called "Margherita" and dated to 1965, which is the first example of tableware design by Antonia Campi: it is a less known and less 'subversive' production than that of "Fantasy items" or sanitary ware but always interesting. The first services, Margherita (1965), Paiolo (1967), Giano (1968), designed by Campi for Richard Ginori, are examples of great professional 'correctness' and an intelligent reinterpretation of traditional forms. The specimen for sale is equipped with a lid and a large plate underneath, all in perfect condition and measuring cm. Approximately 32 x 20 in height Very rare !!!.
