Ceramic Soup Bowl Tureen "Margherita" by Antonia Campi for Richard Ginori, 1965

About the Item

Splendid laveno ceramic tureen, design antonia campi for richard ginori "margherita" antique pink color, measuring 32 cm in diameter by 17.5 cm in height, in perfect storage conditions, as shown in the photos published on the site of the cultural heritage of Lombardy with the following description: "Tureen entirely glazed in antique pink with high external band decorated in relief, rectangular handles and circular lid with flower-shaped top handle. Historical-critical information: The soup tureen (vessel n. Inv. 2250, cover no. 2251) is part of a table service that can be approached due to the morphological typology and the minute relief decorations arranged on a high horizontal band or on the brim of the serving plates called " margherita " and dated to 1965, which is the first example of design by tableware by antonia campi The first services, margherita (1965), Paiolo (1967), Giano (1968), designed by Campi for Richard Ginori , are examples of great professional 'correctness' and an intelligent reinterpretation of traditional forms ".
