About the Item

Bowl made by slip casting in white clay. Shiny green glaze. All Bitossi ceramics are entirely handmade by our artisans at every stage of the production process. The iconic styles and color palettes of Bitossi resonate in the Guadalupe collection from 2016, where Wood revisits the past through a contemporary lens, paying homage to one of Aldo Londi’s most iconic productions. Techniques such as geometric surface engraving are combined with marine-inspired tones. Crafted using the slip-casting technique in white clay and finished with brilliant crystalline glazes, the collection consists of three shapes in three different color proposals: lilac, emerald green, and ocean blue. Design by Bethan Laura Wood Designer and artist Bethan Laura Wood (United Kingdom, 1983) and her studio focus on research into materials and color, working in collaboration with local artisans. Her kaleidoscopic works are deeply rooted in a connection to place and a thoughtful approach to sustainability, and have been exhibited in some of the world’s most prestigious museums.
