18th Century Porcelain Trompe-L'oeil Asparagus Spears Tureen, Probably German porcelain probably Thuringian Circa 1770-1800 The porcelain tureen or box and cover are modeled in the form of a bundle of asparagus spears held together by a blue ribbon. The asparagus are naturalistically modeled. There is a "14" written on the inside of the cover on the unglazed inner rim Dimensions: 3 1/4 inches high x 6 1/4 inches long x 4 inches deep.
