Antique Chinese Canton Famille Rose Porcelain Teapot, circa 1900
A fine quality late 19th / early 20th century Chinese porcelain teapot, hand-painted in the famille rose palette.
The cylindrical body is decorated with alternating figural and bird-and-flower panels, all framed by dense floral and butterfly motifs. The lid and collar are similarly adorned. Retains its original woven metal handle.
Unmarked to the base, as typical for Canton export ware of this period.
Dimensions:
Height: 15 cm
Width (spout to handle): 16 cm
Diameter: approx. 12 cm
Condition:
Good antique condition with some old nibbles to the lid rim and light wear consistent with age and use. No cracks or restoration.
