English Porcelain Plate Chinese Porcelain Style Decoration

Macau porcelain plate. “Mandarin” decoration, polychrome, with flowers, plant motifs and birds. Reserves with representation of flowers and Chinese figures in scenes from everyday life, where the colors pink, green, gold and red predominate.
The decoration is divided into ornamental reserves, alternating between figurative scenes and floral motifs. The Mandarin scenes depict characters in traditional Chinese costumes, set in palatial settings and surrounded by meticulous architectural details. Floral elements, especially pink flowers and stylized foliage, harmoniously fill the spaces, creating a charming contrast with the narrative scenes.
The plate also has gold details, which enhance the edges and some decorative elements, adding beauty. This piece is not only an example of Macau's refined craftsmanship, but also a representation of the region's cultural and commercial exchange during the colonial period.
