About the Item
A beautiful pair of French 19th century Bavarian-style handpainted porcelain dishes to add a touch of spring to the table. Each square plate has wonderful rococo scalloping details on the rim, outlined in gold, that spreads toward the center as delicate tendrils of flowers. Vibrant illustrations of mixed floral bouquets in the center–painted by hand–are coordinating, but not identical, with hibiscus, fuchsia, and peonies to name a few. Some gold has worn with time and use, please view the detailed images for a closer look. Faint stamp on the underside but unclear to determine exact maker. Sold as a pair.
