About the Item

A rare pair of early 19th century Wedgwood pearlware platters made in England circa 1820. These splendid platters feature a rich lustrous cobalt trim on creamware with a blue underglaze that can be seen throughout, an alternating mix of white azalea shaped blossoms, and a stylized dynamic running spray of budding vines circling a cream center. This pair exhibits the exceptional quality and classic style embodied in antique Wedgwood pieces. Nice and clean and in very good antique condition with the expected minimal wear. These platters would be perfect for serving, as centerpieces, or for display in open shelving or on a wall.
