Sevres-Vincennes Vintage French Porcelain Coffee Set

About the Item

We kindly suggest you read the whole description, because with it we try to give you detailed technical and historical information to guarantee the authenticity of our objects. Elegant and particular coffee service in fine French porcelain, consists of eight cups with plate, a fine coffee maker from the shape pleasant and refined, a sugar bowl with lid and a pretty milk jug, the dominant color of all pieces is a matte black on which were painted graceful roses embellished with delicate leaves in pure gold, even all handles, edges and knobs of the sugar bowl and coffee maker are finished in pure gold; the service was produced between 1950 and 1954 by the French company Sevres-Vincennes. The manufacture of Vincennes Porcelain was founded in 1740 in the castle of Vincennes, a town east of Paris; in 1756 the factory moved to Sèvres, a town halfway between the Tuileries and Versailles, becoming one of the best porcelain factories in the world. The marks of Sèvres are countless and are divided into two major periods, the first period: ancient from the origin of the factory to 1800, the second period: modern from 1800 up to us. In our vintage service of the '50s, the artisans wanted to pay homage to the glorious past of their prestigious company by resuming the very first brand formed by 2 L cursive capital opposite (initial of Louis XV) with the letter W in the center, painted in black in goldfield under the paint. Measures coffee pot diameter 19 cm, height 23 cm; cup diameter 6 cm, height 6 cm; saucer diameter 12 cm, height 1 cm; sugar bowl diameter 9 cm, height 8 cm; milk jug diameter 5 cm, height 19 cm. For all our shipments we use special packaging materials (wooden crates, styrofoam, etc.) for maximum protection and safety of the objects.

Very Large Antique French Sevres Style Porcelain Vase
By Manufacture Nationale de Sèvres
Located in London, GB
Very large antique French Sèvres style porcelain vase French, Late 19th Century Height 154cm, diameter 41cm This fantastic vase is the work of J. Pascault, a famed porcelain artist of the late 19th Century who specialised in the production of Sevres-style pieces. The vase is tall and slender in shape, set on a gilt bronze plinth, and surmounted by a cover with a pinecone finial. Its ovoid body is decorated around its exterior in the Rococo taste: showing a female figure and winged putti in a landscape...
