Silver sugar bowl, raised on a round foot and openwork with pearl pattern rims and handles
A milk jar with scrolled leaf pattern ear handle is also in the same pattern, date and maker
The silver set is marked with the Dutch silver hallmark and is made by Fa. J.M. van Kempen & Zn, Voorschoten, worked in the period 1858-1924. Dated with the year letter E for the year 1889. The silver content is 835/1000 (Hall mark Lion 2). Master sign by Van Kempen & Zn, Voorschoten
The sugar spoon with pearl edge is made of silver, marked with the Dutch Hall mark Lion 2 ( 835/1000), Year letter X for 1882. Minerva head (office mark) Master sign is from Adrianus Kuijlenburg.
The sugar bowl is 10 cm high, 15,5 cm wide and the depth is 10,5 cm

A fine and impressive antique Edwardian English sterling silver sugar caster, an addition to our silver teaware collection.
This fine antique Edwardian sterling silver sugar caster has a baluster form onto a circular domed spreading foot.
The upper and lower portions of this piece are embellished with embossed and chased bead and scroll decoration accenting concave bordered, fluted decoration all in a spiral design.
The sugar caster retains the original hallmarked screw fit cover, embellished with pierced decoration incorporating chased and embossed bead and scroll decoration, the screw fit attachment indicates the fine quality of this piece.
The cover is further ornamented with a gadroon decorated border to the rim and is surmounted by a fine and impressive scroll decorated shaped baluster style finial.
The foot of this piece is embellished with embossed and chased stylized fluted decoration in a spiral design.

An exceptional, fine and impressive antique Dutch silver and agate handled server; an addition to our diverse silverware collection.
This impressive antique Dutch silver server has an oval shaped blade.
The anterior face of the blade is embellished with impressive finely pierced diaper pattern decoration encompassed with a paralleling bright cut engraved scrolling leaf decorated border.
The blade is further ornamented with a bright cut engraved scalloped border to the rim blending to a plain border to the incurve.
The reverse of the blade is plain and unembellished.
This exceptional example of antique silverware retains the original and exceptional faceted agate handle.
The ferrule and lower portion of the stem are ornamented with an engraved simplified lozenge design accented with a trellis pattern.
The hallmarks struck to this impressive server include:
Maker's mark: TGZ3
Silver quality / purity mark: Lion Passant mark .833 (833/1000)
Date letter: Z (1884)
Duty mark: Minerva head
Condition
This antique server is an exceptional gauge of silver, exceptional quality and in exceptional condition. The agate handle is in perfect condition. The bright cut engraved decoration is all very crisp. The Dutch hallmarks struck to the reverse surface of the stem and ferrule are all very clear.
