About the Item

Set of six, Art Nouveau, Continental Silver (.800) caviar/hors d' oeuvres spreaders, Germany, Ca. 1895-1910. Both sides of spreading surface are rose-gold gilded. Decorated with Art Nouveau lilies whose stems whip around the front and back of each knife. Each knife measures just under 4 inches long x 1/2 inch wide (at widest point) x 1/16 inch high when lying flat. The set has a total weight of 1.960 Troy ounces. Dark areas on silver in photos are reflections. In very good antique condition.
