Art Nouveau Sterling Silver Leaf-Form Bonbon Dish By Gorham

About the Item

Art Nouveau pattern, sterling silver, leaf-form bonbon dish, Gorham Manufacturing Co., Providence, Rhode Island, year-hallmarked for 1933. A photo of one of these dishes appears in the book Gorham Silver by Charles Carpenter Jr. on p. 217. The pattern was originally created circa 1900 and was continued for many years by the company. Dish has graceful Art Nouveau design of lovely leaves which whip around the interior of the piece; scalloped border. Measures 8 inches long x 4 inches deep (at deepest point) x 1 1/4 inches high when lying flat. Dark areas in photos are reflections. In excellent antique condition.
