Splendid, beautifully proportioned George II period sterling silver caster, Jabez Daniel, London, 1737.
Of classic baluster form with lovely shell shaped perforated top upon a circular spreading foot. The body with wonderful period stepped lettering T C E with a stylized star.
Marks on base: Lion Passant, London Town, b for 1737, makers initials GD in script for Jabez Daniel
Weight: 58 grams
Excellent good condition with wonderful patina.

The arched swing handle with two cast female busts arising from a leaf capped double C-scroll support. The cast and applied rim of shaped foliate and floral entwined decoration.
