Antique 19th Century French Sterling Silver Rococo Chocolate Pot
About the Item
An elegant 19th century French hallmarked sterling silver chocolate pot with embossed decoration. The pot is decorated with a band around the top. There is embossed decoration on top and bottom of mouth and around silver handle attachment.
Pot has original exotic wood handle. It is marked with three separated illegible hallmarks below the rim of the pot. Although the marks are illegible, this pot is sterling silver and of sterling quality (is most likely 950/1000) French silver.
Dimensions: 5" high with a 2 3/4" diameter base and 5 1/2" long handle
Condition: This stunning chocolate pot is in very good antique condition with a minor flaw on the left side (see photographs) and reflecting only minimal signs of age appropriate wear.
