The lightly made sugar sifter stands on a wide round foot with a gilded finish with a round tall, graduated round body with a narrow-raised screw finish neck. The cover is of tall domed shape with narrow gilded screw on collar. The body of the vase has a very fine engine finished ground pattern and is applied in relief with hanging floral garlands set between bows with hanging sprigs with smaller decorative arrangements containing a sickle and scythe along with basket and hat with the patterns repeated around the body of the shaker. The cover is similarly decorated with flowers and floral garlands and with a molded floral rim around the lower section. The shaker has silver marks to the base with a further silver mark to the rim of the cover.
