A fine signed Danish Modern pepper shaker and open salt cellar pair. By Georg Jensen. In sterling silver. Pattern no. 2A, entitled Blossom. Comprising a pepper shaker, an open salt cellar with a cobalt blue enameled bowl, and an associated salt spoon. Designed by Georg Jensen ca. 1905. (Jensen's use of the flower buds in this pattern was inspired by magnolia buds in Japanese Art, which are used as a symbol of May.) Fully marked with a post-1945 mark to the base. Simply a wonderful pepper shaker and salt cellar pair from Georg Jensen! Date: post-1945 Overall Condition: They are in overall good, as-pictured, used estate condition with some light edge wear, some fine & light surface scratches and other signs of expected light wear consistent with age.
