Beautiful and elegant pewter pot with a barrel-shaped body, triple ribbed on the lower part, medallions in relief on the spout and a conical hinged lid with profile knob. The pot presents a curved ear handle and a relief frieze.
The work was realized by Gerhardi & Co., the famous pewter Jugendstil manufacturer in Germany. In 1800, Richard Gerhardi began creating the company GERHARDI & CO in Lüdenscheid. From 1902 onwards, the company made several beautiful designs and collaborated with big names of the time such as Peter Behrens, Maurice Dufrène (France), Albert Reimann, Albin Müller, Olbrich, Paul Haustein and Gottlieb Heintel (Berlin).
