1970s American Lucite Acrylic Ribbon and Brass Chandelier Hollywood Regency
About the Item
This stunning 1970s American Lucite ribbon and brass chandelier comprises of U-shaped thick bands of cascading Lucite in different lengths that are suspended from a chrome frame with brass fixings. The large Lucite is illuminated by four bulbs at its centre, hung from a chain, which is attached to a ceiling rose. There is no maker's mark, however the chandelier is similar in style to those designed by Karl Springer or Charles Hollis Jones.
There is a sticker inside the ceiling rose for Underwriters Laboratories Inc, a global safety science company headquartered in Northbrook, Illinois. Professionally rewired with 3-core antique braided cable. In very good vintage condition with no cracks or chips. The chandelier on chain measures 110cm in height and is 37cm in diameter; the ring to the bottom of the Lucite measures 50cm.
