Early Opal Glass 'Satellite' Pendant by Vilhelm Wohlert for Louis Poulsen

About the Item

Early example of the small (13" height x 12.5" diameter) 'Satellite' fixture designed by Vihelm Wohlert in 1959 for Louis Poulsen. The translucent, opal glass allows for uniform distribution of the light, and the opening at the bottom of the pendant adds the bonus of downward, direct light. A powerful light source for a modestly sized fixture. Original socket and socket mount; no ceiling cap or canopy present.
