About the Item

Charlottenborg ceiling lamp, model 5-4.5, designed by Ebbe Christensen & Sophus Frandsen, based on ideas and sketches originally made by Poul Henningsen and produced by his his life long collaborator Louis Poulsen in the 1980s. The lamp builds on Henningsens old and proven concept with several screens stacked on top of each other. His concept of the stacking screens is very efficient of spreading the light evenly and his designs always gives a soft and pleasant experience. This is the smallest of the two versions of the Charlottenborg model and suitable over a normal sized kitchen table or in a hallway. The model is produced to this day but this example is most likely from the 1990s. Very good vintage condition with light ware consistent with age and use. Later plug.
