An Arcangelo Metropolitano floor lamp, designed by Ugo La Pietra. in 2007, for Lumen Center, sculptural construction on a painted metal base, wings in transparent methacrylate hand-decorated with vitreous ename. With original label. Limited edition of 50 copies. Number 13 of 50.These lamps were exhibited at the Milan Triennale in 2008, "Anni 70 il decennio lungo del secolo breve".
Biography
Ugo La Pietra born in Bussi sul Tirino, Pescara in 1938, Ugo la Pietra lives and works in Milan, where in 1964 he graduated in Architecture from the Polytechnic. Trained architect, artist, editor and lecturer, since 1960 he has defined himself as a researcher in the system of communication and visual arts, moving simultaneously within the fields of art and design.

Ugo La Pietra
Ugo La Pietra is an Italian architect, designer and artist and he defines himself as a "researcher of visual art". His activity as a researcher began during the 60s when he founded "Il gruppo del Cenobio" (the group of Cenobio) with Agostino Ferrari, Ettore Sordini, Angelo Verga and Arturo Vermi. It was a brief, but intense experience and they represented the only group from Milan who developed the so-called signic movement in contrast with the other cutting-edge groups specialized in pop art, objects, kinetics. La Pietra experienced the synaesthesia between the arts. La Pietra took part in more than 900 personal and collective exhibitions and he exhibited his works in the most important Italian and foreign museums.
