SERGIO MAZZA Born in 1931 in Milan, Italy, Sergio Mazza is a renowned Italian designer celebrated for his contributions to industrial and furniture design. Mazza began his career in the 1950s, and his work is characterized by a blend of functionality, elegance, and modernist principles. In 1955, he founded the design studio SMC with Giuliana Gramigna, his future wife and collaborator, focusing on interior design and architecture. Mazza is particularly famous for his lighting designs where he masterfully blends the use of glass, steal, brass and clean lines .
