Kepler K15T, Brass and Blown Glass Table Lamp by Angela Ardisson
Located in Milano, IT
The starting point of Angela Ardisson’s creative process for the new collection is a single and precise shape: the sphere. The study of its geometric volume and a rational composition of all interlocking elements has guided her towards a very clean design. No technical or mechanical disturbance interferes with the purity of the shape. That’s why she decided to avoid welding and went instead for very precise turnings, to assemble all the pieces. In the creation of the Kepler collection, I had the honor to gather the most skilled Italian artisans using highly advanced cutting technologies (laser-cut and water-jet) but also the more traditional glass hand-blowing and twisting processes. The only and final supervisor during all work phases was the caliper and all measures were to the tenth. The glass is hand-twisted with fire and it spreads its warm light right from the heart of the lamp. The polished brass surfaces are filtered by the transparency of the glass layer, with a reciprocal exchange of uninterrupted light reflection effects. The metal of the Kepler lamps goes through several modification phases, which I personally carried out. She can obtain unique coats and textures reveiling themselves on the shiny brass surface, like in a vintage mirror. The symbol of this collection is “the reflection” and Angela Ardisson is searching for its purest form through her modern alchemical approach. The K30 and K50 floor models, in spite of the volume and weight of the materials used, are extremely light, both in terms of their visual size and specific weight. These floor lamps will enrich the living areas and relax points in the house with elegant light reflections and a touch of personal elegance. All models of Kepler floor and ceiling lamps...

Ligne Collection, 'Light 2 - White Neon, Grey Glass', by Sabine Marcelis
Located in Beverly Hills, CA
Dutch-Kiwi designer Sabine Marcelis’s work is at the forefront of contemporary material innovation in product and installation design. She works with glass manufacturers and more, forging partnerships across her industry to bring her ambitiously experimental projects to fruition. Marcelis’s focus is on allowing happenstance sensory experiences to emerge by juxtaposing combinations of unlikely materials and colors. She was educated at the Design Academy Eindhoven and since founding her eponymous studio in 2011 in Rotterdam in the Netherlands, she has built a remarkable roster of clients in fashion, architecture and art. She has created signature pieces for the likes of Rem Koolhaas’s architecture firm OMA, high-fashion labels Fendi and Isabel Marant and luxury beauty brand Aēsop. She has also exhibited at the Salone del Mobile in Milan and won Wallpaper* magazine’s Designer of the Year award for 2020. Ligne Light 2 - White Neon, Lime Yellow Glass, by Sabine Marcelis, Table Lamp
Located in Beverly Hills, CA
The Ligne sculptures were made during a summer artist residency at Pilchuck school of glass. As with many of Sabine Marcelis's explorations with light, these objects were born from a curiosity to explore how a material volume can interact with a single line of light and in this case also how two very different ways of working with glass can elevate eachother. Together with talented neon benders, Sabine Marcelis hand-bent each of the neon lights to wrap around the various glass volumes, accentuating their mass and in turn, the glass volumes filtering the light. Marcelis was invited to create a sculptural intervention for the interiors of Ludwig Mies van der Rohe and Lily Reich’s iconic Barcelona Pavilion, which saw the debut of the pair’s timeless Barcelona chair in 1929. For her “No Fear of Glass” exhibition, the designer subverted the original request made to van der Rohe to “not use too much glass” by designing chaise longues, pillar lights and a fountain that feature glass as the main material. The rest of her work is informed by a similarly sophisticated playfulness, as evident in the charming forms she creates — she has designed doughnut-shaped rugs, the multifunctional resin Candy Cube side tables...
