About the Item

An unusual pair of silver-giltwood wall mirrors in the Baroque Taste, Italy, circa fourth quarter of the 19th century. Topped with leaf-carved crests, the oval mirror plates are framed with beading, and sit on scrolled, leaf-carved and pierced feet. A wood backing is held in place with the original nails, brass hanging rings on the versos. Measures: 25 in. H x 19 in. W x 1.5 in. D Possibly some light repairs, if so well done. Scattered wormholes to the backings. The expected minor age related surface wear. Light foxing to the mirrors, also age related.
