Antique Black Forest Brienz Wood Carved Dog Walking Stick, 1890s, Austria Vienna

About the Item

Beautiful hand carved dog head walking stick cane. Manufactured in the Black Forest or Brienz Area at the end of the 19th century. Wonderfully expressive representation of a bulldog or a pug. Classic made with glass eyes. With a hole in the stick so that the stick can be held with a leather strap. Unfortunately, this strap has been lost over the decades. The mouth by a mechanism to open and close. Fully functional. Purchased at an Estate Sale in Vienna Austria, this glamorous piece is sure to hold a special place in your collection.
