About the Item

This iconic room divider was created by the well-known french artist jean touret for atelier moralles, who founded the workshop in france during the 1950s. The heavy hand-crafted piece is made of wrought iron and shows a series of beautiful animal motifs in relief. Dimensions: width: 81.5 cm. Depth: 36 cm. Height: 171 cm. Additional dimensions. Screen depth above the base: 1 cm. Mid-century modern, France, circa 1950. By Jean Touret (1916-2004), french sculptor and designer, settled in the city of marolles after the second world war, where he founded the atelier marolles with the artisans of the city. These, under the direction of jean touret, mainly work in wood and metal to produce minimalist furniture and lighting. In very good condition, no missing tails or details like often seen.
