About the Item

Tulu 'decorated with multiple toothed element This design has been the subject of various interpretations of scholars and is found in various forms in many borders of classic carpets. All the energy of this carpet is expressed only three colors red, yellow and black. Tulu 'are Turkish rugs with a high and irregular pile, with very simple decorations and bright colors, mainly used as a bed. The Tulu 'have retained their original characteristics because being produced for personal use, they have not suffered the influences of the western markets. The quality of the wool is that of the flocks of the plateaus, soft and shiny. The colors are natural and extracted from materials found on site, such as plants, flowers and small insects. Very often wool is used, without dyeing, selected in its natural colors. The decorations are always geometric and their origin is lost in time.
