About the Item
This is a vintage Turkish Tulu rug woven circa 1950 - 1970 and it measures 133 x 131 CM in size. It has a beautiful minimalist design with lovely colors. Tulu in Turkish means hair and the technique used for weaving is very similar to "gabbeh" in Iran, "Beni Ourain" rugs of Morroco and "ryijy" in Finland. These pieces been produced for functional purposes in mountainous regions, so they all have thick pile to protect against cold. They mostly have "primitive" designs with few colors employed. An attractive and elegant piece for your interior.
