This traditional design is called "Watermelon" . It is one of the motifs that are very popular in Hereke rugs.
All of our rugs, carpets and Kilims are original vintage or antique pieces. They are hand washed and ready to use. All rugs are used and have appropriate condition to their age.

Oushak rugs (also known as ushak or Usak) are known as one of the finest Oriental rugs. The beautifully hand knotted antique rug was produced in the Anatolian Region of the Ottoman Empire (present day Turkey), circa 1920, rectangular in form, made out of silky, luminous wool, richly detailed and decorated in vibrant colors including a golden yellow central star medallion, surrounded by a deep cinnamon red ground with alternating bands of beige and turquoise to the border.
