About the Item

This coarsely knotted carpet with glossy wool has a simple large spiral acanthus design in teal n the warm brown ground. The main salmon-brown border shows more acanthus volutes, within a wide sienna brown plain outer surround. The style is simplified Louis XV. The condition is excellent and the carpet is a perfect match for formal European furnishings.
