His incredible Dune Villa, Amsterdam Beach, find more details on his family name plus eu, is for sale soon too. :-) Unique barber chair or optician chair. Beautiful design of elegant chrome base with wooden seats, headrest with leather upholstery and adjustable features. The chair has a 'hollowed seat' and beautifully curved bakelite armrests. The headrest can be rotated and fixed (see differences in the position of the headrest pictures #7 and #8) and adjusted in height (#4 and #5), so the position can be matched according needs. The position of the backrest can also be adjusted in height/angle (#3, #4, #9, #10 and #11). The wooden seat has some damage (#16 and #20) and is missing one original screw. Some scratches, also on the right armrest (#19) and spots on the leather headrest. The height mentioned in dimensions is when the chair is in comfortable position with medium height headrest (95 cm) Weight 14,5 kg The max height in upright position and headrest in max height is 110 cm (the height of the backrest is 90 cm) and angle in 90' The max depth of the chair when the backrest is max down is 115 cm The width of the total chair is 56 cm and of the seta only 47.5 cm Key designers for the tubular steel furniture, which became famous in the 1930s by companies as Thonet, Gispen, Auping, Fana Metaal, de Wit Schiedam, and more companies were Le Corbusier, Ludwig Mies van der Rohe, Marcel Breuer, Mart Stam, Rietveld, Gispen, Anton Lorenz, Paul Schuitema, Bas van Pelt, van der Vlught, etc.
