About the Item

Cast aluminum chair designed by Dan Johnson for Shelby Williams. Manufactured by Crucible Products. This appears to be a early variation where no wood arms were ever attached. As There are no holes on the arms for screws. Quite possibly the original designer's intent for this chair to have these beautiful steel aluminum arms rather than the larger wood. Or it is possible this is a prototype of sort. The tilt back seems to be loose so that it does not sit upright when chair is not in use. The last photo shows the chair with a object on the seat in order to keep the backrest upright. may desire to have reupholstered. It is the original fabric. Please request additional photos.
