Daniel Arsham (b. 1980) lives and works in New York. Arsham has been exhibited worldwide, including at the Moco Museum, Amsterdam; the How Museum, Shanghai; High Museum of Art, Atlanta, GA, and the Contemporary Art Center, Cincinnati, OH. His works are included in the permanent collections of the Pérez Art Museum, Miami, FL; the Walker Art Center in Minneapolis, MN, and the Centre Pompidou, Paris. His artistic practice includes several high profile collaborations with choreographer Merce Cunningham, Producer Pharrell Williams, and Designer Hedi Slimane and companies such as Dior and Rimowa. Arsham is the co-founder of Snarkitecture, a New York-based collaborative design practice established in 2007 to investigate the boundaries between disciplines of art, architecture and design.
A component of Arsham’s iconic and immediately recognizable practice is the conception of his works as fossilized “future” relics that distort the viewer’s perception of space and time; thus, this piece is dated 100 years in advance of its true date of completion (2019).

Daniel Arsham’s practice exists at the intersection of art, architecture and performance. Through his work, Arsham poetically combines the past, present, and future, skirting the line between romanticism and pop art—while experimenting with the timelessness of certain symbols and cultural icons.
Arsham was born in 1980 in Cleveland, Ohio. Raised in Miami, Arsham attended The Cooper Union where he received the Gelman Trust Fellowship Award in 2003. Upon graduation, Arsham toured worldwide with the Merce Cunningham Dance Company as the company’s stage designer for over four years—an experience that informed his ongoing synergistic practice. In 2007, he founded the pioneering architecture firm Snarkitecture with partner Alex Mustonen. Collaboration continues to be a key cornerstone of his practice—realizing high-profile projects with music producer Pharrell Williams and designer Hedi Slimane, as well as Dior, Porsche, and Rimowa.
Objects for Living (2019), Arsham’s first collaboration with Friedman Benda, was inspired by Arsham’s recent renovation of his own Long Island home built in 1971 by the noted modernist architect Norman Jaffe...

British designer Faye Toogood has emerged as one of the most prominent women in contemporary design today. “Whether you are a fashion designer, a furniture designer, or an interior designer, the materials you can get your hands on are essential,” she says.
Toogood was born in the UK in 1977 and graduated with a BA in the History of Art in 1998 from Bristol University. Upon graduation, she worked as a prop stylist at The World of Interiors before establishing Studio Toogood in 2008.
Working in a diverse range of disciplines from sculpture to furniture and fashion, Toogood often reinterprets and reinvents classical tropes and references from art history by introducing a new aesthetic. Since the conception of her immediately recognizable voluminous Roly-Poly chair (2014), she has been considered among the great form-givers of the 21st century.
