About the Item

This English early 19th century period Regency armchair features a new muslin upholstered curved back, seat with cushion and arms over four exquisite short painted legs with gilded accents. The front two legs are tapered and decorated with gilded stylized acanthus leaves with rosettes on the knees. The gilt accented seat rail leads the eye to the short saber legs supporting the back. The chair is raised on casters, allowing it to be moved easily. This elegant English Regency chair, circa 1820 would be a wonderful addition to any living room or bedroom.

A pair of French painted wood armchairs from the 19th century, with carved foliage motifs, yellow, white and turquoise accents and new linen upholstery. Created in France during the dynamic 19th century, each of this pair of armchairs features a curving back topped with a carved flower flanked with palmettes on the upper rail. Two open arms with scrolling extremities carved with acanthus leaves and rosettes are coming to rest on each side of a seat newly upholstered with a neutral toned linen fabric.
