Kerstin Hörlin-Holmquist, easy chair Stor/Large Adam, NK Scandinavian Modern

About the Item

Kerstin Hörlin-Holmquist was assigned to the Triva department at Nordiska Kompaniet to create furniture for young, modern households. She created the Paradise-collection, with its biblical theme all designs were given names as Eve, Adam, Paradise/Eden etc. This Large/Stora Adam was designed in 1958 for NK department store in Stockholm. This chair holds a soft simplicity and comfort, true to Hörlin-Holmquist view of functional design. 𝐓𝐡𝐢𝐬 𝐞𝐱𝐚𝐦𝐩𝐥𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐒𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐚 𝐀𝐝𝐚𝐦 𝐢𝐬 𝐫𝐞-𝐮𝐩𝐡𝐨𝐥𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐞𝐝 𝐢𝐧 𝐝𝐚𝐫𝐤 𝐩𝐢𝐧𝐤 𝐯𝐞𝐥𝐯𝐞𝐭.
