About the Item

This is a vintage dining chair, Model 3237, derived from the iconic Spanish Chair—one of the masterworks designed by Danish design legend Børge Mogensen. Inspired by his travels in Spain, Mogensen created this masterpiece, which is now produced by Fredericia. However, this particular piece is a rare vintage original. Like the Spanish Chair, it is one of Mogensen’s signature saddle leather chair series. The leather molds comfortably to the body over time and can be adjusted using the strap fastening system as needed. This specific example is an early vintage piece and still retains the original Fredericia sticker from the period. The natural, full-grain vegetable-tanned leather displays stunning character and patina developed over time. We highly recommend seeing this piece in person to fully appreciate its aged beauty and craftsmanship.
