About the Item

A pair of BM2256 armchairs by Danish designer Børge Mogensen, crafted in Denmark during the 1960s. Known for his democratic approach to design, Mogensen created this model as part of his functional furniture ethos, combining honest materials with thoughtful proportions. Constructed from solid oak with exposed joinery and a striking geometric frame, the chairs offer both structural clarity and a warm, tactile presence. The seat and back cushions have been reupholstered in hessian / burlap, lending a natural, textural quality that pairs beautifully with the aged wood. Both sculptural and inviting, these chairs reflect the essence of Danish modernism — understated, enduring, and deeply connected to craft. Suitable for living spaces, reading corners, or gallery-like interiors. These minimalistic, yet eye-catching lounge chairs will fit into many interior styles. A Modern, Scandinavian, Classic or an Art Deco home decor. With a heavy focus on functionality, this design style leans toward modernism, while incorporating coziness. The Scandinavian design style aims to provide a way for people to live more sustainably and in harmony with one another.
