About the Item

A sensational and most impressive Italian 18th century Neo-Classical st. Walnut, Verdigris Bronze, Giltwood and and Gris St. Anne marble cabinet. This handsome demi lune shaped cabinet is raised on four scrolled block feet below the mottled designed apron. The two curved front doors display wonderful recessed panels set within mottled Brass frames, which open to reveal a single interior shelf. The doors are flanked by most decorative tapered Walnut columns in the style of Caryatids with Giltwood sandals at the base and patinated Verdigris Bronze and Giltwood busts. Above are two drawers displaying handsome lion head pulls, while flanked by block reserves accented with Brass mottled inner frames. The drawers and doors are fitted by their original hardware including the keyhole escutcheons, pulls and locks. Above lays the solid Gris St. Anne marble top with an ogee edge and following the shape of the cabinet.
