It is the all original painted finish that makes this chest of drawers from the Swedish countryside a special find. Note the original brick red paint accented with the blue/green/white folk art accents all faded and worn to the warm pine patina below. The faint remains of a monogram and date indicate it may have originally been a wedding gift. Restored, strong and stable this delightful chest is ready to be used and enjoyed, possibly as a nightstand. Any scratches, cracks, dings, or age related separation are commensurate with age and do not detract from the beauty nor function of this lovely chest of drawers. This delightful antique chest of drawers has been given new life with a recent black painted finish. Note in the photos the slight distressing which compliments its age and brings out touches of the natural oak wood beneath. The graceful cabriolet feet, paneled sides, serpentine front and lower carved medallion all reflect its French country styling.
