By Bassano's Ebanisteria
Located in Vigonza, Padua
An elegant Venetian walnut commode dating from the first half of the 19th century, distinguished by its graceful serpentine façade, refined marquetry decoration and harmonious proportions.
Crafted in the Veneto region, most likely in the Verona area, the piece features a three-drawer configuration veneered in richly figured walnut and enhanced with geometric stringing and contrasting inlaid reserves. The warm tones of the walnut are animated by dramatic natural grain patterns, creating a sophisticated visual depth across the entire façade.
The gently curved drawer fronts, shaped apron and slender cabriole-inspired legs reflect the enduring influence of late Venetian Rococo furniture...
