About the Item

A two door server designed by Edmond Spence for Industria Meublera for the Aztec Line. Mexican Modernism at its finest, this piece consists of solid mahogany. Not a veneer present. Dovetailed box, floating on 4 offset legs. The doors with wood Carving in relief effect, used lavishly in multiple frame like borders to focus interest on the special designed massively scaled silver door handles. Two removable trays with handles on top of open storage with shelving. The case reminiscent of George Nakashima designs with tight dovetailed joints. Dimensions: 52.75”W x 31.5”H x 23.25”D Condition: Recently refinished. Black painted hardware. Missing one door catch on left door bottom, three other door catches present, requires a firm push to close. Green felt has worn and petrified functioning more as a thin liner.
