This desk has a storied history, originating from the Hotel Nacional of São Conrado in Rio de Janeiro, designed by the renowned architect Oscar Niemeyer in 1970, and still bearing its heritage plaque. Crafted by Jorge Zalszupin for L’Atelier, it is constructed from hardwood with white formica finishes. Following this prestigious project, L’Atelier introduced the Hotel Line, comprising coffee tables, benches, and chairs in a similar style. The wood of this desk has been expertly refinished, retaining its original charm despite minor signs of aging. It features a configuration of six beige drawers on the right side and two brown drawers on the left. The desk’s elegant design lends itself effortlessly to various interior styles, making it a versatile and timeless piece.
