About the Item

An exquisite 19th century Rococo secretary in mahogany with bombe front & sides, with floral & foliate inlays in tulipwood, kingwood & satinwood on the top, front panels of the drawer, slant-top, and sides. Marquetry inlays on the lower sides of the chest depict a winged-female figure. Slant-top opens to writing desk with six small drawers & open shelving. Chest rests on cabriole legs ending in leaf-scroll feet. Features all original brass foliate pulls, key plates & working locks. Continental Europe, either Italian, Dutch or Flemish, circa mid to late 1800's. Restored in our workshop with French-polish finish. Measures: 34" wide x 21" deep (30" when open) x 43" high; 31 1/2" high from floor to writing surface Restored in our workshop Note: You should always request a shipping quote.
