Coffee table (on hidden casters) with storage space made of solid oakwood and second storage space additionally, externally lacquered with mat beige color. This coffee table is structured in a traditional craftsman's workshop on the island of Tinos, in Cyclades, Greece. Measures: 43cm X 113 cm X 43 cm The furniture of this collection was presented firstly in the exhibition "The poetics of Matter", which was organised by the architect Maria Vidali in collaboration with the video-artist Theophilo Ieropoulo and the semiologist Rea Wallden. The exhibition aimed to reveal the procedure followed by matter becoming a furniture through the Tinian craftsman. They were participating eight carpenters, a marble sculptor and two smiths. The eleven craftsmen created furniture on Maria Vidali's design work. The modern design of the furniture becomes materialised through the work of craftsmen using traditional, contemporary as well as individual techniques. Furniture of the collection were selected and participated in the big exhibition Greek design, good design in Athens 2013. The furniture are numbered and their production limited. Packaging is not included in the price of the furniture, but on the shipping expenses.
