American Indian Chiefs Set 50 Framed Cigarette Cards by Allen & Ginter Reprints
About the Item
This is a set of 50 reprints of the now classic "American Indian Chiefs" Cigarette Cards, produced originally by Allen & Ginter in 1888. This set is a 20th Century set of reprints, mounted in a modern Hardwood frame with glass front & back.
The clear glass to back and front allows all 50 cards to be visible on both sides.
An original N2 American Indian Chiefs set would typically date to 1888 and it was distributed by Allen & Ginter inside their cigarette packets, one card per pack.
In all, the set has a total of 50 cards and as its name indicates, it includes popular Native American Chiefs such as Sitting Bull and Geronimo.
Original sets are expensive and in 2017, a nicely graded set was sold for more than $13,000.
Please note, these are a framed and mounted set of reprinted Cards- not originals.
