About the Item
Beautiful oil on panel from the Italian school of the 18th century representing a faun trying to seduce a half-naked nymph, behind them a man seems to have brought a tray and at their feet two putti around an overturned jar, play with what seems to be a paint palette and a brush. This scene is probably a study for a painting representing a bacchanal scene
The painting is nicely arranged in a gilded wooden frame, carved with a bouquet of flowers in the upper part. On the back of the panel is glued a label bearing the mention "Italian school XVIII th century".
