A beautiful antique painting, a flower still life with roses against a dark background.
On the back is an old label, which states that the painting was possibly made by a painter named Desormaux, but the name could also be Desormeauix or Desreumeaux.
The exact age / origin of the painting is unknown, but this is a typical subject of the French school.
The flowers are beautifully arranged in a bronze vase, the painter shows the versatile color palette of the bouquet.
The work clearly shows craquelé, which also gives the painting a beautiful antique look.
The painting has been relined, this has been done neatly and professionally.
The painting is framed in a beautiful antique gold-colored frame, stucco on wood.
