Early 19th Century French Hand Painted Crest on Metal in Carved Gilt Frame

About the Item

Decorate an office or study with this elegant antique wall decor. Crafted in France circa 1830, and set in the original carved gilt frame, the art work on metal features a hand painted family coat of arms embellished with a top crown, and embellished with feather and scrolled motifs. The frame adorns a beautiful gold leaf finish with hand carved geometric, floral and leaf motifs in the corners. The wall decoration is in excellent condition with rich colors in the rouge and Bordeaux palette. Wire in the back for easy installation. Measures: 16.75" W x 20.25" H.
