About the Item

Frame with dimensions 126 cm. x 95 early 20th century, Austria - Vienna. The frame structure is made of fir wood, a material chosen for its lightness and workability, while the surface is finely veneered with layers of light walnut and mahogany, fine woods prized for their warm color and rich grain. This frame reflects the innovative aesthetics of the Viennese Secession, an art movement of the period, and the works of leading figures such as Koloman Moser and Josef Maria Auchentaller both influential in defining the visual language of the movement. Many of their projects were published in the magazine Ver Sacrum, founded by Gustav Klimt and Max Kurzweil, which served as a showcase for the innovative ideas of Secession artists. The design of this frame fully reflects the aesthetics of the period, with floral patterns and essential lines. This balance between decoration and simplicity creates a sense of harmony that characterizes the entire structure. Frame interior 93 cm. x 62 cm. Frame 126 cm. x 95 cm. x depth of 6.5 cm. The width of the wooden frame is 15 cm.
