Framed H 22,5 cm L 18,5 cm P 2,4 cm Camille Raymond Fauré is a French enamel artist, born on November 16, 1874 in Péri-gueux and died on October 7, 1956 in Limoges. He is best known for his work designing enamels for the companies manufacturing porcelain in Limoges. Floral and figurative motifs in richly enameled colors are his signature. At the beginning of the 20th century, he sold his creations in Paris in the shop Au Vase Étrusque. In this shop, he produces and exhibits vases, bowls, ashtrays, boxes and other objects. The 1925 International Exhibition of Modern Decorative and Industrial Arts marks Fauré’s breakthrough. He becomes the most famous enameller of Limoges.
